About Me

Hi there Everyone!
Welcome you to naturalbloodpressuresolutions

Before I go on to talk about myself and my goals in setting up this website, I would just like to preface my comments by saying that I am not certified practitioner in Holistic, nor Naturopathic Treatments.  Rather I am an ordinary guy who has a keen interest in healthy approaches to living and how to stay healthy, especially as I get older.  Hypertension tends to become more of an issue as we age, and I have turned my attention to this particular topic for reasons you will read about below.

If you, like me, have been noticing that over time your blood pressure readings have been slowly inching upwards towards that dreaded hypertension threshold, and you have a desire to do something about this, then I believe this site has something to offer you.  My goal in setting up this site is to provide alternative options and approaches to help you manage your blood pressure naturally.  I am in essence looking to share with you what are some of the natural remedies for high blood pressure

To do this, I am going to share my personal findings with you.  Also I want to share with you what I have discovered over time through my own experiences, as well as some innovative research in this area.  I would also request that if I ever write anything that piques your interest, that you get involved within my site. I love to discuss blood pressure issues and if you have anything interesting that you want to share or any opinions concerning any of the content that I have created on my site, please let me know. I truly welcome your feedback.

About Me …

I am 62 years old and have always believed in keeping fit and looking after my body.  However in my mid-fifties I unexpectedly developed some circulatory health issues.  Since that time I have become ever more aware of the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to promote continued good health so I can still enjoy all the things I have always been able to do – I am a nature lover and enjoy many types of outdoor physical activity.  From my research it became clear that a robust cardio and circulatory system was at the heart (forgive the pun!) 😀 of continued good health.  And one thing which can be very detrimental to maintaining good health over time is a condition called Hypertension, or high blood pressure.

As I closed in on my sixties, my blood pressure readings were starting to climb to the level where some sort of intervention would be deemed medically necessary to control them. So at that point I had a decision to make.  Should I go the pharmaceutical route and have my doctor prescribe pills for this problem? Or would I be able to find more natural solutions instead?

I have always been nervous about taking any sort of prescription medications, mainly because they are synthetic (not natural)  and also due to all the possible side effects which they bring with them, especially when taken over long periods of time – and of course blood pressure medications are usually a long term treatment solution.  So I decided to see what else was out there, and to my surprise there are a great many alternatives which are natural and which have been proven to be effective.  The good news therefore is that there are options and that a combination of approaches around these options will often work just as well as prescription medications – without the specter of unwanted side effects.  I am having success with using some of these natural alternative treatments myself and excited to share this experience with you. 🙂

If you ever need any feedback or support regarding your blood pressure issues, I would be more than happy to discuss them with you. Simply leave your comments below and I will reply to them as quickly as I can.  So I do hope that you will visit my site regularly as I plan to update it frequently with the latest “ideas” and “information” that should be of interest to you.

Anyhow, I wish you all the very best with your quest to manage your blood pressure and thank you for dropping by!

    Nick,
Just a note to let you know that I found your blog just a couple days ago… Over the course of those couple days, I have followed your smoothie recipes along with what I had been doing to lower my blood pressure (with little results). Well, adding your smoothies on top of getting more diligent with my work out, stress, etc., my diastolic number has dropped 21 points. Yeah… I went from 110 to 89. Still working it, and will continue to, but thanks for turning me on to the recipes!

Wow, that is really good news, and I am so pleased that you found the smoothie recipe is working so well for you. I am particularly interested to see that the smoothies are helping you lower your diastolic readings, as high diastolic levels can be quite resistant to treatments. Anyhow, it is always rewarding for me to learn that one of the natural approaches to managing blood pressure that I have featured is having a positive effect, and this kind of feedback definitely helps my resolve to keep on looking for further natural solutions to high blood pressure issues. So I thank you sincerely for your feedback Hedgie, and I wish you continued success in managing your blood pressure naturally.:)
